Nashville Zoo will host two job fairs for those interested in working at the Zoo during the 2014 summer season. Due to the expected high volume of applicants, the Zoo will separate the job fairs into departmental categories.
The Zoo’s guest services department will conduct the first job fair on Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The Zoo is looking to hire 40 guest services associates whose responsibilities include cashier, train conductor, jungle gym attendant, carousel operator, lorikeet nectar seller and DinoTrek attendant. Employees will work 36 to 40 hours a week and are required to work weekends.
The Zoo’s retail and concessions company will conduct the second series on Tuesday, Feb. 18 and Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. A total of 110 positions available at these sessions include retail and concession cashiers; cooks; supervisors; and concessions stand attendants.
All seasonal jobs have separate qualifications. Offers for all positions are contingent on the satisfactory results of a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
