Begin March 15!
Our animals shows are back. Learn about animals from around the world at our fun and educational shows. You might even become part of the show!

Wild and Crafty Animal Tales
April 13 & April 16
Celebrate the Week of the Young Child at Nashville Zoo with a very special animal story time program. We will provide the stories, craft materials and special animal guest. Space is limited.

Join the Education Department and keeper staff on a great behind-the-scenes adventure with the giraffes, anteaters and elephants.

New! Arts for Life

Unleash your artistic side with Nashville Zoo’s new art program. Students will learn professional techniques to draw wildlife using live animals as their models. Each class is different.

Photo Safari
May 15
Calling all photographers! Join us for a unique opportunity to photograph some of the education department’s animal stars. Be sure to bring your camera and creative perspective.

Junior Zookeeper
May 16, June 19, July 11, Aug. 21, Sept. 12
Become a Jr. Zookeeper for a day and attend a classroom session, complete a special project and work with a keeper in an animal care area. Each date is a separate class.

Yogakids
May 22
Join Nashville Zoo's education staff as they partner with instructor Tonya Jones and YogaKids. Children will learn a special animal pose and then meet that animal up close and personal! Expect fun, educational and creative classes where children can be imaginative.

Come join the wild fun! Counselors in Training assist with Nashville Zoo summer camps.

Eggstravaganzoo
Saturday, April 3

Gather your little peeps and head to the Zoo for Nashville’s largest egg hunt and Easter celebration. There will be egg hunts, bunny games, bounce houses and appearances by the Easter Bunny! Register online today for Bunny Breakfast and get an up-close experience with the the cotton-tailed guest of honor.

Week of the Young Child
Sunday, April 11

Starting at 2 p.m., children under 12 get into the Zoo free. Join us for an afternoon filled with fun and learning at the Zoo's amphitheater.

Zzzoofari Slumbers
Saturdays: April 17, May 29, June 19 & September 4
Our animal residents will be catching some zzz’s as your group enjoys crafts, hayrides, a hot dog roast, a full breakfast in the morning and much more! Register your group to join us for one of our fun-filled campouts.

Nashville Zoo Golf Classic
Monday, May 3
Join the Zoo at the prestigious and beautiful Golf Club of Tennessee for an afternoon benefiting all of the animals at the Zoo. Registration includes player fees, practice range, contests, lunch, evening reception and player gift. Register today.

International Migratory Bird Day
Saturday, May 8
Come celebrate the triumphs and plights of our feathered friends during migration by visiting fun and educational stations throughout the park.

Senior Day
Friday, May 21
Free admission for all seniors 65 or better! Healthspring will be on hand with free snack vouchers (redeemable at the Zoo’s concession stands) for seniors.

2010 Member Mornings
Wednesdays: May 12, May 26, June 9, June 23, July 14, July 28, Aug. 11, Aug. 25, Sept. 8, Sept. 22
Take advantage of free carousel rides, uncrowded Jungle Gym play and the chance to see staff preparing to open the Zoo for the day, including releasing animals into their habitats.

Many animal exhibits will be open until 7:30 p.m. with docents and keepers providing “special experiences.” Free carousel rides, discounts on food and additonal activities await you!
