Picnics

Whether it's a company event, family reunion or client appreciation day, a picnic at Nashville Zoo is just the kind of adventure everyone is sure to enjoy! We have a variety of rental locations to accommodate groups from 50-1500. And our onsite caterer Taste of the Wild can create any menu to make your picnic at Nashville Zoo a feast to remember!

Hosting your picnic at Nashville Zoo has many “wild” benefits. In addition to the exotic animal exhibits and beautiful surroundings, you and your guests will enjoy the following:

  • Fun daily free activities including: animal shows, keeper chats, 6000 sq. ft Jungle Gym, Critter Encounter, Historic Home tours, and much more
  • Docent Education Interpretation Station (for groups of 100+)
  • Free parking
  • Onsite Coordinator
  • Set up and clean up for your event
  • Eco-Friendly Picnic: Yes that’s right! By choosing Nashville Zoo, a federally recognized 501(c) non-profit organization, your rental fees go directly toward conservation and our mission: “To inspire a culture of understanding and discovery of our natural world through conservation, innovation, and leadership.”

Want to add some additional entertainment? Our event sales office is a one stop shop. We can recommend and reserve a myriad of wild additions for your picnic including face painters, inflatables, musicians, up close animal encounter programs etc…

Testimonies from our 2009 clients:

“Attention to detail and awesome culinary talents and tremendous work ethic really paid off for our company. I would recommend your venue for any company event!”

“Thanks to you and your team for helping make our event a great success! Everyone on our staff commented on how wonderful the food was and how professional the zoo staff was. None of the food ever ran out; they kept it coming, which was wonderful!  I heard so many positive comments from our guests as well. We all look forward to this event so much, having a good location and good food makes it less work for our staff and we can just enjoy visiting with the families. We will definitely be back at the zoo for some of our picnics.”
