Counselor In Training (CIT) Program

*Attention Teens ages 15 to 17
Nashville Zoo is seeking summer camp assistants as members of the Counselor in Training (CIT) Volunteer Program! This is a great volunteer opportunity for someone who loves children and loves the Zoo! CITs aid Zoo staff in monitoring groups of children, helping with set up and clean up of crafts, games and other fun camp activities. Candidates must be able to work outdoors in the summer and enjoy working with children ages 5 to 9. CITs work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must be able to work a minimum of 1 of 6 camp weeks.

The CIT program for 2010 is Full. Please check back in 2011 to volunteer for next year’s summer camp.

• Counselor In Training Program Application
• Two (2) letters of reference (from teachers, clergy or other supervisors)
• A letter explaining why you would like to be considered for this opportunity

Summer Camp 2010 runs six weeks, 6/7-6/25 and 7/12-7/30.
Application deadline is June 28, 2010.
